Loved around The End

Loved to the End

John 13:1

“Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.”

Jesus knew that His hour of suffering had come. He knew the betrayal, rejection, and pain that awaited Him, yet He remained composed and faithful to the Father’s will.

This teaches us an important lesson: as children of God, we must learn to respond with faith and maturity even when life presents unexpected challenges.

What amazes me most is that Jesus loved His disciples to the very end. He knew Judas would betray Him, Peter would deny Him, and the others would scatter in fear. Yet His love never changed. It was not based on their performance but on His character.

How often do we struggle to love people when they disappoint us? Jesus shows us that true love extends beyond hurt, criticism, and rejection. We are called to love others with the same grace that He has shown us.

Personally, if I knew what Jesus knew, I might have reminded everyone of all I had done for them. But Jesus remained faithful to His mission. He chose love over resentment and obedience over self-preservation.

Because He endured the cross and finished the work He came to do, you and I can experience salvation today.

May we learn to love as Christ loved—steadfastly, sacrificially, and to the very end.
